From Egypt to Holland. I made it. It has been a dream to come, my mum's family is Dutch, but living in Australia. I am living on a house boat on a canal, next to a dyke.... how dutch can I get!
Over on bloesem today I saw the work of dutch artist Nienke Sybrandy titled 'Bladerportretten = Leave Portraits' The work is done on leaves that fall from plats in Nienke's home - she then creates a face in the leaf and catalogues then... see above! I love it that I can drop in the installation space in Amsterdam and see it with my own eyes too.
